New Owners

Posted on December 18, 2010 at 8:29 PM

In 1971, the Radosevich family (Tony, Marg and seven children), purchased the House Of Sweden, a small restaurant and motel on the outskirts of Two Harbors. They changes the name of the business to the Earthwood Inn, added a bar, and began a 40 year run as owners. There were a lot of good times over the years, ups and downs as the economic times changes, but always, The Earthwood was a refuge and second home for many in the community. For the past thirteen years, Tony and Margs' daughter Stacy and son-in-law Paul ran the business and the Earthwood has remained a thriving business in the area. With Tony's passing three years ago and Marg relocating to an apt in Two Harbors, a decision was made to sell the Earthwood. On November 19, 2010, new owners Eric Potts and Sandra Fritz took over the operations of the Earthwood Inn. Since then, there has been a whirlwind of activity as they combine a new and positive energy with their desire to repair much of the worn-out infrastructure. They immediately informed everyone they had no desire to change everything that the Earthwood had come to represent, and they have been true to their word. The name is the same, the staff is the same, the customer base continues to grow, and you are likely to see new ideas implemented along with the things you have become accustomed to seeing. Paul Belsito remains as manager of the bar, grill and motel, bartenders Lindsay, Jen, JoJo, Brian and Peg and cooks Chase and Terry are also still here. Everyone is excited about the possibilities for improvements in what we are able to offer our customers and you will definitely see exciting changes in the months ahead. Please stop in and see us, you are always welcome!
